Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of Meducative, an online exam-preparation platform for students preparing for the Ghana Medical and Dental Council’s Common Registration Examination (the “CRE”). Meducative is operated from Accra, Ghana. Please read these Terms together with our Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are and accepting these Terms
By creating an account or using Meducative, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. In these Terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Meducative, and “you” and “your” mean you, the user.
2. Eligibility
Meducative is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and able to enter into a binding agreement. The platform is built for medical and dental students and graduates preparing for the CRE. You may use it from anywhere, but the content is built around the Ghanaian CRE blueprint.
3. Your account
You are responsible for the information you provide and for keeping it accurate. Keep your password confidential and do not share your account — it is for your personal use only. To protect exam integrity, Meducative allows one active session per account at a time; signing in on a new device ends your other sessions. You are responsible for activity that takes place under your account. Email us at support@meducative.com if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
4. What Meducative provides
Meducative provides a question bank, self-quizzes, a free diagnostic test, scheduled mock exams, performance analytics, and an AI study tutor. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
Meducative is for educational purposes only. It is a study aid — not a substitute for your medical or dental education, clinical training, or professional judgement.
Nothing on Meducative is medical advice. Do not rely on it to diagnose, treat, or make decisions about any real patient. Always consult qualified professionals and authoritative sources.
We do not guarantee that you will pass the CRE. Your result depends on many factors outside our control, and your practice performance on Meducative does not predict your CRE outcome.
Meducative is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by the Ghana Medical and Dental Council. Our questions are our own and are not official CRE materials.
5. Your licence to use Meducative
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Meducative for your own exam preparation. You may not copy, bulk-download, scrape, or use automated tools to access the platform; resell, sublicense, or use it commercially; or share, publish, or redistribute any of our content. This licence ends when your access ends or when these Terms are terminated.
6. Intellectual property
The question bank, explanations, diagnostics, software, design, and other materials on Meducative are owned by Meducative or its licensors and are protected by law. The question banks are proprietary and confidential. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from them without our written permission.
7. Acceptable use and academic integrity
You agree to use Meducative honestly and lawfully. You must not:
- share, post, sell, or distribute questions, answers, or any other content from the platform — including to study groups, forums, messaging apps, or sites such as Quizlet;
- cheat, or help others cheat, on any quiz or mock, including sharing live mock content;
- share your account or sign in on behalf of someone else;
- attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with the platform’s security or exam-integrity features;
- upload malware, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or disrupt the service;
- harass, threaten, or abuse other users or our team.
8. Exam-integrity monitoring
Scheduled mocks are monitored to keep them fair. Before a mock you complete an attestation — you acknowledge an honour code, type your name, and may optionally add a photo. During a mock we record integrity signals such as your IP address and device, when you switch tabs or leave the exam window, when you exit fullscreen, attempts to copy or paste, connection gaps, and whether another session takes over. We use this only to protect exam integrity, and we explain exactly what we collect and how long we keep it in our Privacy Policy. If we reasonably believe an attempt involved cheating or a breach of these Terms, we may invalidate the result, withhold scores, or suspend or close the account.
9. The AI tutor
The AI study tutor is powered by a third-party AI provider. To answer you, we send your messages and the relevant question and answer context to that provider. The AI can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Use it as a learning aid only — it is not medical advice and must not be relied on for any clinical decision. Please do not paste real patient information or other sensitive personal data into the tutor. See our Privacy Policy for how this data is handled.
10. Payment, access and refunds
Some features require paid access. The available plans and their prices are shown on our site; the diagnostic test is free. You pay by card or mobile money through our payment provider, or by a direct bank or mobile-money transfer. You then confirm your payment — optionally adding a receipt reference, screenshot, or note — and we verify it by hand and grant access, usually within a few hours on work days. Access is time-limited and ends when the plan period expires.
Refunds. Because access is granted promptly and content becomes available immediately, fees are generally non-refundable once access has been granted. If you paid but we did not grant the access you were due, contact us at support@meducative.com and we will put it right.
11. Availability and changes
We work to keep Meducative available and accurate, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any content is complete or current. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Ghanaian law, Meducative is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for any exam outcome, academic decision, or health-related decision arising from your use of the platform. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Suspension and termination
You can stop using Meducative at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you breach these Terms, breach exam integrity, or fail to pay. When access ends, you lose access to paid features and content. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — continue to apply.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana have jurisdiction over any dispute. Before taking any formal step, please contact us at support@meducative.com so we can try to resolve the matter in good faith.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will give reasonable notice — for example by email or a notice on the site. By continuing to use Meducative after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
